Rodrigo Ventura, Professor of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Dept of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). He is the coordinator of the Minor in Space Sciences and Technologies at IST. Broadly, his research is focused on the intersection between Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, with particular interest in human-robot interaction, mobile manipulation, biologically inspired cognitive architectures, and machine learning. This research is driven by applications in space robotics, aerial robots, and service robots. His research in space robotics led to robotic experiments on the International Space Station (ISS) and in various analog space exploration missions.
